Manchester United are closing in on completing a deal for Oliveirense forward Bruno Amorim in the summer transfer window. He was promoted from Oliveirense's first team and his form attracted interest from Jose Mourinho's side.

"He had been promoted to the main squad but [United's] scout was alert and chose to take him there", director Antonio Jose Leite told Portuguese outlet Noticias ao Minuto.

He said: "He had been promoted to the main squad, but the scouting (Manchester United) was already aware and made a decision to take him there to experience".

'At this time the business is 90% done and he may have an excellent contract ahead.

Jose Mourinho has had another big-spending summer at United by bringing in Romelu Lukaku, Nemanja Matic and Victor Lindelof, but he's focusing on a player to add to the ranks of United's youth teams for the time being. The contract will shortly be announced, but he is a future bet at United.

Although Manchester United are only expected to pay Oliveirense a fee for training rights, the deal is seen well in Portugal, especially because it's expected the partnership could provide a good interchange relation between the two clubs.

The Red Devils, who finished sixth in the top flight last term, are set to host West Ham United at Old Trafford as they look to get their Premier League campaign off to a winning start.

The 19-year-old has been on trial at United's Carrington training complex and is expected to join up with the club's Under 23 squad.
